1
The driver pays
The driver sends their daily amount by mobile money to the collection account.
2
Swapinga reads the message
The platform reads the payment notification message, and records the amount, the date and time, the sender name, and the transaction reference. On the dashboard this appears as SMS ingestion. A message the platform cannot read is counted as unparsed.
3
The payment is matched to a driver
Swapinga compares the sender against your driver roster and proposes a match with a confidence score. A high confidence match is confirmed. Anything it cannot place is left unmatched for you to handle in Reconciliation.
4
The collection is counted
Once a payment is confirmed against a driver, it counts toward that driver’s day, their repayment progress, and your organization’s collected total.
Why a payment might not appear
- The driver paid from a phone number or mobile money account registered to somebody else, so the sender name does not match the roster.
- The driver is not yet fully set up, and shows as Pending setup on the roster.
- The payment arrived before your organization’s reconciliation start date, so the platform does not scan it. See Organization settings.
- The message could not be read and is counted as unparsed.
