# Vehicle models

> The vehicles you finance, their cost, and the daily amount each one carries.

A vehicle model defines what a vehicle costs and what a driver on that vehicle owes each day. Every driver is assigned to a model, so this screen sets your daily target.

## What a model holds

| Field          | Meaning                                                                                                  |
| -------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Model name     | Make, model, and year, for example a 2025 model from a named manufacturer                                |
| Total cost     | The financed price of the vehicle in RWF                                                                 |
| Category       | Electric or internal combustion                                                                          |
| Fuel type      | Electric, hybrid, petrol, or diesel                                                                      |
| Daily amount   | What a driver on this model pays each day in RWF. The product screen labels this field "Daily versement" |
| Active drivers | How many drivers are currently on this model                                                             |
| Status         | Active or archived                                                                                       |

  Changing the daily amount on a model changes the target for every driver assigned to it. Check the active driver count before you edit.

## Adding a model

Use **Add vehicle model** and complete every field. A model with no daily amount produces drivers with no target, which shows up as a dashboard that does not add up.

## Archiving

**Archive** retires a model you no longer finance. Archive rather than leaving unused models active, so the filters on the driver roster stay useful. Drivers already assigned keep their financing terms.
